ILT and Learning Resources

Well stocked libraries at all three centres.

ILT Centres are based at Clapham and Vauxhall with a Learning Resources Centre in the new Sixth Form building.

Our libraries also provide you with a pleasant, quiet study area with supportive staff to help you with your learning.

We have a range of electronic resources, online databases and ebooks.

Our Clapham ILT Centre is now open from 8.30am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Lambeth College's Learning Resource Service has been awarded a CoLRiC (Council for Learning Resources in Colleges) Grade1, Gold Award and always scores highly in student surveys.

We have three libraries based at our Brixton, Clapham and Vauxhall Centres, two computer ILT Centres based in Clapham and Vauxhall plus a Learning Resource Centre based in the Sixth Form at Clapham.

Our libraries provide you with a full range of relevant, up-to-date and well organised books, audio-visual resources, DVDs, newspapers and magazines to help you pass your course. Plus we have individual, group and silent study zones which provide an environment for you to continue with your learning away from the classroom.

To help you improve your IT skills, research information and write assignments, all facilities have free Internet access and a wide range of IT equipment including PCs with Microsoft Office and specialist software together with printers and scanners.

We provide facilities for disabled students such as adjustable furniture and specialist software. Wi-fi is available at Clapham Library, Clapham Sixth Form Learning Resource Centre and the Vauxhall Library.

With access to the Internet, current students can view our twenty-four seven Virtual Library which is available from anywhere in the world. There you will find a range of electronic resources, online databases and eBooks. Additionally you can search our Library Catalogue, reserve items, renew items you have on loan and book a computer in advance.

Most importantly we provide a welcoming, supportive and safe environment with friendly and experienced staff who are knowledgeable about our services and always available to support you with your learning. Our qualified Librarians and Facilitators will help you develop your research, information or IT skills, provide expert guidance and advice on how to find and use the information you need to complete your course and progress onto work or education.

To use our areas, you must comply with the IT Code of Practice and the Learning Resources Users Code of Practice.

Our opening hours are prominently displayed on the Virtual Library and in our printed guides and at each Centre.
