Sixth Form Centre

The new Sixth Form at our Clapham Centre, overlooking Clapham Common, is now fully open for business. With a massive £20 million investment the 6,000 square metre Sixth Form Centre was opened on 6 June 2009, to provide some of the best teaching accommodation in London, with provision for 1200 students.

The new building contains:

• 43 new teaching rooms, able to accommodate 1200 full time students
• Roof Garden overlooking the Common
• Learning Resource Centre
• Extensive IT facilities including around 100 PCs
• Spaces for seminar and group project work
• Quiet Zone for self-directed study
• Performing Arts Centre
• Theatre with 3 performance spaces (that can be adapted to one large theatre with a 160 seat capacity)
• Dance Studio
• Media and Arts Facilities
• Student Careers ‘knowledge hub’
• Chill-out Zone
• Break-out Areas
• Coffee Bar

The focus of the new Sixth Form Centre is not just on A and AS Levels, but also wider skills and qualifications such as BTEC National Diplomas. Students will be well equipped to go straight into work or to progress to university.
